Zoom changes reservation times without warning

We are slowly getting into Workspace Reservations, which we would like to use for shared rooms we use for workshops and desk places. A problem we have is, that when a room is already booked from 10:00 - 12:00 and another user wants to book it from 11-12:30, Zoom will change the reservation times to e.g. 12:00 - 13:30 on its own, trying to accommodate. And while you still have to confirm the booking, it’s rather easy to miss, that zoom changed the time and you actually aren’t booking the time slot you want. We have had “double booking” thanks to that.

Is there any way to stop it from doing that or send a warning message at least?

This behavior can definitely be confusing. As far as I know, Zoom Workspace Reservations automatically suggests the next available time slot when your requested time overlaps with an existing reservation, and there isn't currently a setting to disable this behavior or force a warning before the time is adjusted.

For now, the safest approach is to carefully review the reservation details before confirming the booking. It would be great if Zoom added an option to either reject conflicting bookings outright or display a clear warning whenever it changes the requested reservation time. That would help prevent accidental double bookings.

To my understanding, this is expected behavior and cannot be modified. Please submit a feature request via your CSM/TAM or Zoom Support - while I personally think the alternative would create more confusion with users than what’s in play today, I am a firm believer that the owner/admin should have the option to decide and flexibility to run their software however works best for their org. Good luck!

Great tool! I always appreciate calculators that are simple, accurate, and save time on repetitive tasks. A clean interface and quick results make a huge difference, especially when you use these tools regularly. I've also found that specialized calculators, like the hours calculator at  can be really helpful for tracking work hours, overtime, and time differences. Thanks for creating and sharing such a useful resource!

I don't think there's currently a way to disable that behavior. The safest workaround is to have users double-check the adjusted booking time before confirming. A warning prompt would definitely be a useful feature request for Zoom.
