Whiteboard has become unstable using stylus

I am working on a Lenovo IdeaPad 5 touchscreen for online tutoring. The main issue I have had with the whiteboard  is the need to reinitialize the pen every time I move the screen or do anything else.

The pen now remains active when moving the whiteboard BUT almost every touch of the stylus causes the whiteboard to expand. I have tried with two different brands of stylus. Has anyone else experienced this? It makes the whiteboard almost unusable for me. Very frustrating. I was going to include Google Meet to my platforms but if this persists I will drop Zoom entirely.
