Meeting started from within the whiteboard: what is "n people are following you [stop]"?

Hello,

 

I start meetings from within whiteboards, which is a great zoom feature.

Immediately after the meeting starts, a red color message shows up at the top-middle of the window, telling me how many people are following me, for example:

   16 people are following you [stop] 

 

This seems the only dialog in Zoom that has a [stop] button, and I'm worried what happens when I click it. What does stop do? Will it stop these people from following me? Or will the people be disconnected from my whiteboard? Or does it simply make the message go away?

 

I tried to search for help with the keywords "people are following you", but did not get any useful results.

 

I'm looking forward to an explanation from this forum.

Hi:

 

The "n people are following you" feature allows other meeting participants to view the same viewport and mouse position on the canvas as you taking actions on the canvas. This can be compared to screen sharing in meetings, but specifically for the Whiteboard. When active, you're sharing your Whiteboard viewport position and actions with other participants.

Clicking "Stop" will end this following mode, allowing other participants to move the Whiteboard canvas independently. Participants can also choose to stop following from their own client. Note that this action doesn't stop sharing the Whiteboard itself; it only ends the synchronized viewing.

    May I ask as a follow up question:
    When I accidentally hit the [Stop], is it possible to get the 'following mode' back again? Would that happen when I select "All eyes on me"?
