Spamming

It seems there is no way to stop spammers from just adding you to their webinar. I get added nearly every week to some spammer's zoom meeting trying to sell some product. There is no spam option on the invite or way to report them. There is only a cancel meeting option and contact organizer.  Why doesn't zoom add in a feature to report them or remove the option to just upload a list they purchased of names and emails??

Hello @MGSR ,
I get every day Zoom spam emails.
And every day I have to click several times "unsubscribe".

And I have to delete the calendar entry in my calendar.

This is no real solution against spam.

Can you please let me know if Zoom is working on a better solution?

Hey Zoom, fix this issue ASAP! You don't want to become known as a harvest ground for spammers--and that's what Zoom is becoming! Go after the sign-up spammers AND the ones putting on these webinars and meetings since they are clearly working with the spammers, or maybe they're one in the same. Either way, shut it down!

The problem is Zoom is not banning the spammers at their account level.  They are creating either throw away email addresses or creating unlimited ones using Outlook.  This is very annoying to be signed up for a webinar everyday and having it added to my Google calendar.

The spam is getting more and more. Please add a button in the invitation "Report Spam" or solve it with AI in these days. I am sick of this spam email every day!

This "report spam link" you gave us does NOT have the option of "I didn't register for this webinar" or anywhere to add that. None of the options offered apply.

Unfortunately, this does not help because the spammer is using different emails every day. It is an issue that needs top priority. I am paying for a service (Zoom) that is sharing my email without my permission. 

I unsubcribe and I am not going to take the time out of my busy day to report ever span sender. That's is not my job.

I keep getting the spam emails as well. I think unsubscribing to them just makes the spammers realize your email is active. You should have a button in the email to report the spam as "I never signed up for the email!" Why do you want people using Zoom that are clearly abusing your system?

I'll "second" this person's frustration! I get these spam "thank you for registering" emails several times a day, and there is NO way to easily report them. WHY?? It's not hard to add a button on the outgoing system emails that give us the option to report spam!

Zoom has become absolute craP cRAP Crap for spammers.  Every single PHUCKING day I get singed up to multiple webinar from people I've never heard of.  Until this is fixed and my org gives me a choice between Zoom and any phucking thing else I will go with the other option even if it costs more.

This is becoming a seriouse problem. We pay fees for a subscribtion to a service that we barley use. now this paid service is becoming a source for endless spam emails. not just emails, the worse that those spammers, with the help of Zoom, have access to our calenders to add themselve into our calenders.
So it seems that we are paying for zoom to allow these spammers continuing their work!!!

My frustration as well. I am a paying customer (for years). I should not have to take time to report every spammer. GDPR, CanSpam, and our privacy laws put the responsibility on the provider to protect us from spam. I suspect Zoom has been hacked, or our email addresses are being sold.  I want to know what Zoom is doing about this serious issue, other than having a moderator provide a spam report link.  I am a heavy user of Zoom and I am ready to go elsewhere if this continues.

Zoom hasn't been hacked. But they should make it to only be able to use the email from their account. Right now spammers can create unlimited emails using outlook and just make a new one everyday for their webinar. Zoom needs to ban users at account level.

The first complaint on this forum dates back to December 2024. This means Zoom has had 8 months to solve the problem. Clearly, it’s not a priority for them.

Zoom is allowing its primary email address to be used by the spammers, giving them free rein to spam. 

Report the spammers and Zoom to the FCC for breaching privacy:
