Automatic recording of an event does not work

Hello,

Yesterday I had a webinar using Zoom Events. In the settings, I had explicitly switched on that the recording should take place locally and immediately at the start of the event.
I relied on that. Unfortunately.
At the end of the webinar, only the chat was saved. Nothing more. So why is this setting there if it doesn't work? Is there still a chance to access the recording?

    I would recommend first verifying there is not a video recording in the default folder.  You can find the instructions for finding the default folder here.

     

    If it is not there, unfortunately there are no recording made on the Zoom side.  You would have had to enable participants to record locally to turn on the automatic local recording, so perhaps someone who joined the event also recorded it.

    That is what I have expected. No recording, although I have selected the automatic record session checkbox in the settings for my event.

    @tjamaker, I'm curious why you would specify a Local/Computer recording?  Zoom Events recording are most often made to the Cloud, so that others can view the session recording soon after the session is over.  This isn't possible with a Local recording.

    Sorry for the delay.
    I'm going to store the recordings locally because I have to made some cuts to it. And ... I store the results on vimeo and not on Zoom.
