Zoom Rooms - How do I ensure camera default is set to ON

Hi All,

I am wondering if there is a setting that I am missing in Zoom Admin portal.

I am trying to ensure that the camera is set to turn ON by default when joining a Zoom meeting

in a Zoom Room. Right now, users have to manually turn the camera on when they start a meeting

from the touch panel.

johnflake123,

There's a couple reasons that this could be. The settings for an individual Zoom meeting typically dictate whether or not the video should turn on by default for the participants (including the room). This can be changed in the user, group or account settings to default to video on:

Additionally, there is a setting in the Zoom Room section of the portal for turn on video automatically for internal meetings. This and the above settings are good places to start:

If this was helpful, please mark it as a solution for others.
