On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

For the sake of practicality and ease of use for teachers, I would like to request the possibility of consolidating the screen sharing options into a single location within Zoom.
Currently, when a teacher wants to share their main screen, they simply press Alt + S and begin sharing monitor 1. However, when they need to share the whiteboard (which uses the second camera), the process becomes more complicated: they have to click “Share Screen,” navigate to the “Advanced” tab, select “Second Camera,” and then click “Share.”
This sequence of steps is not intuitive and increases the likelihood of errors, especially in an educational setting. Therefore, having an interface or direct access that unifies these options in a more streamlined and accessible way would be greatly beneficial for instructors.
