Ending a meeting automatically if there is no activity.

I have users who forget to end meetings. This leaves the projector on overnight and generates long recordings of empty rooms. I tried automatically ending meetings, but this was VERY unpopular. What tools are there for ending meetings besides ending them automatically when the calendar entry is over?
