In our office environment we have Poly X50's and X70's setup in our rooms. We use BYOD to access a Thin Client for presentations.
We've noticed that even though I've configured our rooms to go to sleep when 15 minutes of inactivity hits, this appears to not apply when left in BYOD mode.
Is there a setting I've missed where even in BYOD Mode, the Idle timer functions or BYOD times out after certain activity?
Our Thin Client devices are also setup to sleep after 15 minutes.
We currently have these setup across out Account Level (rather than device level).
We have our Rooms on Zoom Room App Version 6.3.0
I would also add, our Poly Studio devices are set for Device Idle Timeout: 5 Seconds

The Poly setting for BYOD timeout should be what you need
Can you confirm that the Poly units are exiting BYOD mode when the Thin Client goes to sleep? If not, you'll need to evaluate which sleep state is being used to make sure the hot-plug connection between the Thin Client and appliances is actually going low/0. Zoom Rooms will not move to an 'inactive' state while BYOD mode is live.

So, this will be a case of end of day, if a user does not exit BYOD. Maybe this is a question for the Poly Support Team? As I don't believe the Zoom Room App on the Codecs will manage this.
We did have it set on Immediately for the Device mode Timeout, but did not make a difference. From what it sounds like, it might not be possible to exit BYOD unless done manually.

If the attached Thin Client is set to sleep after 15min of inactivity, I expect you'd just need to change the sleep mode to something 'deep' enough that the codec won't perceive the sleeping state as an active connection. I'd start with that device and make sure Poly exits BYOD mode reliably before looking at anything further downstream.
