Poly Edge e220/e350 directory options

We've been reviewing Poly Edge 220 and 350 phone models.  The directory search feature is clunky.  You have to click Directories, then choose a directory and then type in part of a name and then click submit.

Are there any ways to streamline that process?  It would be ideal if we could have it default to the Corporate Directory.  Secondly, is there a way to enable predictive text technology so a person searching for Tom could just type 766 and it would interpret that as TOM.  Lastly, is there a way to display search results live rather than having to press Submit.

Are these improvements Poly would need to make or would Zoom be making those changes; or is it a combination of both.  We're still new to the Zoom platform so trying to navigate the landscape.

hi justinmarthaler,

Based on the reference documents below, I think you can display only the corporate search.  I did not find anything that would allow predictive text tech or eliminate the need to hit submit.  You might want to contact hp/poly presales tech support or your hp/poly account team.

Poly Edge E Series Phones User Guide includes both corporate directory search and advfind.  Advfind allows searching by parameters such as firstName, lastName, etc.

Depending on how many people are in your corporate directory, it may be practical to type in as little as one character and hit submit.  this will display all the entries beginning with that letter or number.

There may be a way to default to corporate directory using a provisioning template.
