We've recently ported our office number over to Zoom and we use a virtual office to answer calls to our office number. In order to identify incoming calls from our customers, the virtual office rely on us sending our office caller ID so they can correctly identify calls and answer appropriately. I've setup call forwarding which works fine however, when using call forwarding I want the caller ID sent to our virtual office to be the accounts Zoom primary number, not the incoming callers id. How can I do this?

Your wanting to see the Zoom number that initiated the call forward or the original caller callerID?

The Zoom number that initiated the call forward please. This lets the virtual call handler know that the call is forwarded from our company and they can answer appropriately.

The Zoom number that initiated the call forward please.

I've already responded to this thread, so apologies if there are two answers.

Unfortunately, the feature I had in mind applies to transferring which allows the Zoom number to be used on the transfer. This does not apply to call forwarding callerID based on my testing.

Ok so is there any way to apply the call forwarding CallerID with Zoom? Without it, our virtual office don't know that the calls are for our company.

Not that I was able to locate or experience in testing with the Zoom app or phone (Poly E550 & Cisco 8865).

hi @BabyLegs

you could ask your virtual office (maybe a contact center) to supply your business with a telephone number for you to advertise and provide to customers and other contacts.  this telephone number would be answered by your virtual office.

alternatively, zoom phone can integrate with some of the most popular contact center systems such as zoom contact center, genesys cloud, five9, incontact and talkdesk.

Did my response answer your question? If so, please don't forget to mark the reply as an accepted solution.

thanks,  eliot
