When sharing a voicemail, I am able to pull up any user or call queue in the search, but when I search for an Auto Receptionist by name or extension, no results are shown.

It is the same for us. Why do you want to share a voicemail with an Auto Receptionist? It's not really a person.
Was your intent to forward the message to the members of the Auto Receptionist's Voicemail Access List?

Yes, the intention is to share voicemail with members of the AR's vm access list. I was hoping to avoid having to create a call queue. Not that it's any trouble to do so..
