Cordless Wifi phones, other than Granstream models, NOT DECT.

Is anything other than the WP810/825 family supported on Zoom? I can't seem to find any options that don't require a DECT infrastructure.

We are trying to replace our on Prem Cisco system and the performance of the WP810 and 825 has been quite poor.

Yealink makes the ax-83H but that doesn't seem to be supported for some reason?

hi @PBellefleur

You could probably provision these wifi, handheld phones on Zoom Phone as generic SIP devices.  The features will probably be limited to very basic ones such as making outgoing calls and answering calls.

Managing Phones and Devices details how to provision generic SIP devices such as your wifi phones.  You may have to open a support ticket requesting provisioning generic devices be enabled for your account.

I believe that Zoom has a good relationship with Yealink.  Maybe you or your account team can work with Zoom and Yealink to get these relatively inexpensive wifi phones certified?

It is always helpful to show that another UCaaS vendor is supporting a device.  AT&T Office@Hand powered by RingCentral supports Yealink wifi phones from Yealink such as AX-83H and AX-86R as noted in its Q3 2025 25.3 release.

“Businesses using Yealink AX83H or AX86R devices can now receive official support through assisted provisioning. This enhances the BYOD experience, improves device compatibility, and allows for operational flexibility without needing to purchase devices directly through AT&T.”

Thanks, I did order one to give it a go, had zoom add generic devices to my account but not getting it to register. Zoom wont give me support and only Yealink support I am getting seems to be AI driven and telling me to pull logs from the device it doesn't have. I'm likely to return it.

hi @PBellefleur

I was able to get my Yealink AX83H Wi-Fi IP phone to register to my Zoom Phone with manual provisioning.  I can make and receive calls.

What I did is:

  1. Connected my AX83H to my wi-fi.
  2. Changed AX83H admin password.
  3. Added AX83H to my Zoom Phone account Phones and Devices.
  4. Got manual provisioning information from Zoom Phones and Devices provisioning including:
    1. SIP Domain
    2. Outbound Proxy
    3. User Name
    4. Authorization ID
    5. Password
  5. Added Zoom Phone parameters as follows:
    1. SIP Domain > Server Host
    2. Outbound Proxy > Outbound Proxy
    3. User Name > User Name
    4. Authorization ID > Register Name
    5. Password > Password
  6. Logged into another Zoom Phone Yealink desk phone (T54W) on web interface to check other parameters and set parameters to match.
    1. Line Active = On
    2. Transport = TLS
    3. Enable Outbound Proxy Server = On
    4. Voice Mail Display = On
    5. Caller-ID Source = PAI-FROM
    6. RTP Encryption (SRTP) = Compulsory
    7. Shared Line = Compulsory
    8. SIP Send MAC = On
    9. VQ RTCP-XR Collector Address = get from Zoom

Please see attached screen shots.
