Checking voicemail on a shared line there has to be a better way

To check the voicemail on a shared line you need to dial the phone number of the shared line, then wait until voicemail answers, then press 2 and enter your pin. 

The primary problems are, 

Wiating until voicemail picks up takes too long.

Hoping that nobody else will answer the call every time the user wants to check voicemail. 

 

Is there really no better way for a user to check their voicemail from the phone?

Good news, there is a better way.

 

Assuming you are a Zoom Phone Administrator:

  1. Go to ADMIN > Phone System Management > Shared Lines
  2. Click on the Shared Line Groups tab
  3. Select the name of the Shared Line Group
  4. Click on the Policy tab
  5. Click on the Access Member List link under the Voicemail header
  6. Click on the blue Add Member button
  7. Search the user or common area account you want to give voicemail access to and select their name
  8. Check the boxes next to the Permissions you wish to give them
  9. Click the blue Save button

They will now receive voicemails for that shared line in their Zoom client. 😃
