Best solution for allowing another user access to phone number?

I have one line that rings to my phone.  I have an assistant who will need to call out from time-to-time, but will not need to use SMS or answer any calls.  Should I install the Zoom app on their phone and log in under my account?  Or set up an extension for them to use under their own login?  I don't want to pay for another user when they will be using the number/app so little.  Thanks!

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @zippityz.

Sharing your account with someone else is against Zoom’s Terms of Service, and a poor security practice.  Do they have a Zoom account?

They can easily get their own account, yes.  And the other person is my wife....

Okay, @zippityz, thanks for that info.

I’d suggest adding her to your account – you’d be the account owner, she’d be another user with her own login. Acquire a Zoom Pro Plus account, which gets her a full Zoom account plus Zoom Phone for only $5 more a month. Then assign that account to her.

Setting up the phone “system” in Zoom can be done a variety of ways.  If you’d like, I can reach out to you and chat about ways to make that phone setup work for you.
