Hi all,
I’m having an issue with BLF not updating on my Cisco 8841 phones with Zoom Phone. The BLF keys aren’t reflecting presence changes, but they work fine on the 3 Yealink T58A devices in the same setup.
Here’s what I’ve tried:
- Verified BLF key configuration in Zoom Phone.
- Ensured the Cisco 8841 has the latest firmware.
- Checked provisioning files, restarted both the phone and Zoom system.
- Double-checked network settings and reviewed device logs (no BLF-related errors).
- BLF works on Yealink T58A devices, but not on Cisco 8841.
Any suggestions or similar experiences? Appreciate any help!
Thanks!

I've never thought of testing BLF's on my Cisco 8865. I had to tear down the SLG as you cannot have both SLG and BLF's of the same numbers on the keys and positions. It takes the BLF no issue but you are right, BLF presence status does not work. According to the Zoom phone feature compatibility list, All Cisco devices support BLF. You should open a ticket with Zoom. That might be a defect.

Hey, thanks for the heads-up! It’s so strange—I’ve been racking my brain for the past few days, tweaking extended functions and everything, but nothing seems to work. I just went ahead and submitted a support ticket like you suggested.

Did you ever get this resolved? Last night, my 8865 was stuck in a boot loop. I rebooted it and notice this morning that the BLF key was updating presence for a user on a call. I literally only did a factory reset.
