Recently during a Zoom session, when I turn off my video a small white square appears instead of the black background with my sign on name. Any solution would be appreciated

It sounds like a profile picture was uploaded to your profile and it is a white square. The Zoom behavior when you turn your camera off is...

If "you have a profile picture uploaded"? Then

     display the profile picture

Else

     display your name

End If

When you log into the Zoom Web Portal and go to the profile section, you can either "Change" or "Delete" your profile picture.

Why is my last video a square shape instead of the HD rectangle I usually get? Is there a setting to change it back?

If there is an image uploaded to your  Zoom profile, then it displays a square. You would want to log into your profile and delete the image. Then instead of displaying a square, it will display your profile name when your camera is OFF, and your video when your camera is ON.
