On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Hello @bb07,

Welcome to the Zoom Community! We're glad to have you here.

The requirements depend on whether you're recording locally or in the cloud.

For local recordings, here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 participant: Video ON, Full HD camera enabled
  • 2 participants: Video ON, HD camera enabled
  • 3 or more participants: Meeting-HD video quality enabled, Full screen view for the host and any participant
  • Gallery View (greater than 25): Host and participants in Full screen

For cloud recordings, you'll need:

  • Video ON
  • Full HD enabled
  • Gallery View (up to 25 participants)

This setup ensures you get the best recording quality based on the type of session you’re hosting.

There is a "ADMIN> Account Settings > Meeting > In Meeting (Advanced)" that affects the resolution you will be using in Zoom Meetings; I f I am not mistaken, this will affect directly the resolution of the Recording.

I could be mistaken here but it used to be a "Hidden Feature" that you needed the help of your Account Manager to get it "Unlocked" and show in your Zoom Portal, but  I don't know if that is the case so check your Zoom Portal, and if not there, then talk to your account representative.

I hope this helps. If that is the case, please mark this as (Accept as Solution).
