I can never use my ipad’s apple pencil (ipad pro with zoom 6.3.6) to edit or correct while sharing my screen. I can sometimes use it when other meeting members share their screen, but not always. I need apple pencil to edit and correct and my only workaround is to take a picture of what I want to edit/correct and then share photo, that allows me to edit with apple pencil but is way too
time consuming… anybody met same issues? thanks

Yes, you’re not alone — this is actually a common limitation many iPad users face when using Apple Pencil during screen sharing. In most cases, apps like Zoom don’t fully support Apple Pencil input when you are sharing your screen, especially for live annotation. That’s why it sometimes works when someone else is sharing, but not consistently.
Your workaround of taking a photo and then annotating it does work, but I agree it’s very time-consuming. Some users have had partial success by enabling Zoom’s built-in annotation tools or using a third-party whiteboard or notes app (like GoodNotes or Notability) and sharing that app’s screen instead.
I often deal with similar editing and annotation workflows while testing photo-editing tools and apps. I share some helpful tips and resources related to editing and creative tools on my site as well: https://thelightroommodapk.com/
Hopefully Zoom improves Apple Pencil support in future updates. Thanks for raising this issue — it’s definitely frustrating.
