Question

setting up zoom meeting so any attendee can start it

I used to be able to create a new meeting in which any of the invited attendees could start it.  It seems that now, in any new meeting I create, I have to start the meeting.  Is there a setting I can use so anyone can start the meeting if I'm unable to attend or am late?

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @hsfronek.

Use the Join Before Host setting to enable this. This Zoom Support article has complete info on making sure this feature is enabled for you, and how to set it for a specific meeting:

Thanks for your suggestions.  Unfortunately, when i click on the home button I do not get a Schedule option.  When I open up the specific meeting I want to enable people to join before the host, there is no "Advanced Options" button or link that comes up.  There is a link for Options but none of the choices include Allow to join before host.  If I try to make the other attendees alternate hosts, the program won't allow it because none of the other people in the group have a zoom account - I am the only one.

So I cannot find a way to use your suggestions.  Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I generally recommend doing this from the Zoom Web Portal at:
