When I screen share from a zoom meeting, the zoom system is not recognizing my external monitor and automatically shares my laptop monitor. It also does not give me any options to choose which window on my laptop monitor that I want to share. Is there a setting I need to change in order for it to do so?

You will need to make a quick adjustment to the Zoom Software Client settings.

In the top-right corner of the Zoom Client, click your profile picture then click Settings.

Select the Screen Share tab.
Navigate to the "When I share my screen in a meeting" Section

Based on your desire to share content from an external monitor, I would

suggest choosing "Show all sharing options".

Also, You'll notice that if you select "Automatically share desktop",

Zoom will default to selecting your primary desktop.
