"Mute participants upon entry" doesn't work for the host

It seems the setting "Mute participants upon entry" doesn't work for the host to participate in.  I remember even the host used to be muted upon entry before when the setting was on.

Is this a spec change?  Can't it be reverted?  This is inconvenient in cases where the host need to connect from a noisy environment.

Hi @dombly, welcome to the Zoom community! You can disable Mute my microphone upon meeting by default by following the instructions here: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/203024649-Muting-your-microphone-when-joining-a-meeting.

    Hope this helps 😊

I have NOT set the mute upon entry, but every meeting participant comes in muted.  I'd very much like to remove that requirement.

Your request has nothing to do with the glitch I reported.  (I'm not talking about the participants' situation)
