"It looks like we are unable to connect"

When I start the Zoom Meeting app on Windows 10, it prompts me to log in, and when I do, it says

"It looks like we are unable to connect. Please check your network connection and try again."

This started to occur about a week ago.

Unlike a previous report on this forum, uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version of the app (now at 6.5.11) does not help. The same error occurs.

In the meantime, I can successfully log in to zoom.us and start Zoom meetings from someone else's Zoom link.

Has anyone else experienced this recently? Known problem? Any solution? Thanks.
