no sound in a breakout room - tablet

i'm using a chromebook - i login to a meeting - audio and video works fine. 

i join a breakout room - i cannot hear any participants 

i hear enter and exit audio sounds, no conversation

this is only happening on my tablet, not my PC. 

 

any suggestions? i've tried all the troubleshooting i can think of. it doesn't work on any of my 4 routers for wifi.

I've got exactly the same problem with my chromebook. Very frustrating.
