On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Whenever I want to use virtual backgrounds, it says that I need to use a green screen and when I do use one, it does not work, I entered the zoom community hoping I would get help. If you can help please do.

Hi @Alexisorlanda

What exactly happens when you do try to use a green screen?

And what type of computer or device are you using?

I use a green screen all the time (15 -20 hours a week) and it definitely does work but there are a few secrets to getting it to work perfectly. The key one seems to be the evenness of the colour, which means the evenness of the lighting also. My green screen almost reaches the ceiling but I found I had to put a screen around the ceiling light because it was too close to the green screen, making the green lighter and causing the background to bleed through on Zoom. The other thing you need to do is, when you tick the "I have a green screen'', to move the colour selector all over the green screen on Zoom to get the most 'average' colour and select the area of the screen that works best.

I hope some of that helps.
