external speakers not working Mac

We have a Mac mini and external speakers which don't work on Zoom. They work fine on Mac Music and Youtube.

We hear the sound of the other person on the meeting through the Mini speaker.

The microphone tests fine but the speaker test only comes through in the Mini.

The particular brand of external speaker is not listed when I click the drop down menu.

Zoom is up to date.

thank you.

Hello,

When you go into your audio settings in Zoom do you see an option for "Same as System" ?

What is selected on your Apple sound preferences?

Click Output on the right, then make sure the external USB speakers are selected. Press and hold Option, then choose Apple menu > System Information. Click USB in the Hardware section of the sidebar, then make sure your speakers are listed. If they aren't, try unplugging the speakers and then plugging them in again.

Regards,

Will
