editing thumbnail for a zoom video recording

Zoom recently changed how the automatic thumbnails show up when you trim a video recording.

The instructions say to click the pen icon next to the video thumbnail and a metadata panel should open on the right side of the screen with an option to edit thumbnails.

But when I click the pen icon no metadata panel shows up on the right side of the screen and no option for thumbnails.

I tried this on Safari, Firefox and Chrome and it does not work on any browser.

How can I edit the thumbmail for my video recording after I trim the recording??

It’s likely due to a recent update. Normally, clicking the pen icon should open a panel to change the thumbnail, but if nothing shows up, try clearing your browser cache or using incognito mode. Make sure you're accessing the recording through the right section (like Zoom Events or the Recordings tab) and that your account has permission to edit.
