continuity camera (macOS) loves my lap

I am using Continuity Camera (iPhone set up as a camera for my computer), and I'm having a very strange problem. When I point the camera (iPhone attached by a USB cable to my computer) at my face, Zoom takes video of my lap (off-axis) and upside down. When I use Continuity Camera with, say, Facetime, it works perfectly. This seems to be new, as continuity camera worked fine a couple of weeks ago.

I will attach three photos: what continuity camera looks like in Facetime, what continuity camera looks like in Zoom, and a photo of how I have set up continuity camera on my Mac.

I have contacted Zoom support about this, and if they have a solution, I'll post it here
