I have a basic Zoom account (free version). but i need to host a meeting for 1 hour with approx 10-15 people 
do I need to upgrade and how much is it to upgrade

Hi @GCMartin! You can go to https://zoom.us/pricing to see Zoom plans and prices.  For Basic users, you can have up to 100 Attendees with a 40-minute limit.
