Resource hog: constant swirling rainbows on Macbook Pro 16"

iPhone camera keeps freezing then re-activating.

Can't save any settings apparently or its hidden (can't be arsed looking)

Chatbot on the website needs punching in the face. It's pointless might as well use Google.

Not to mention constant crashing no matter what you try. Zoom support told me I needed to run "CleanZoom" manually, one at a time, on all 250 of our workstations to fix the crashing problem. I highly doubt it will even work, but I don't have that kind of time. Leave Zoom, go with literally anything else.

Hi @dbrowna2bf @fobbedoff sorry for having not the best experience with Zoom, as we don't ever intentionally want you to have that!

@fobbedoff do you mind sharing the model of your MacBook Pro - curious if you're running silicon chip and maybe have the wrong system type downloaded. Secondly, do you mind checking CPU usage from the activity monitor? Zoom has some capabilities for video hardware acceleration that maybe utilizing more resources than needed to run.

For the iPhone issue, do you mind also sharing the model of that? Im running latest version of Zoom on the 14 with no issues. Advise to update your OS and Zoom to the latest version to see if your experience may differ.

@dbrowna2bf welcome to the convo! Sorry you're also having issues with this. You refer to around 250 workstations, do you leverage Device Management within your organization for these updates and changes? As I referred to @fobbedoff suggest checking the resource usage. Crashes with Zoom usually result into not enough resources on your device to run the application/client.

Just adding onto to this - @dbrowna2bf I reviewed your ticket, and according to the ticket, we would need to collect logs and escalate your case to determine what is actually crashing the client. We will be able to conduct further analysis and determination using that resource and information. If you use a deployment method and confirm that all devices are running the same system version and Zoom version, we can use the information in the logs to further investigate and escalate the issue to our engineering teams.

Any update?

Still nothing. Zoom support isn't even reading what I send them and they just keep telling me to report the failed meetings. It isn't closing during meetings, it closes randomly with no errors, yet Zoom support can't seem to read that part of my problem emails. Zoom support continues to fall flat on their faces and what they are calling "support" is laughable.

Zoom has yet to figure it out. The logs they keep asking for don't exist, yet they keep asking for them. Zoom support just closed the ticket because they can't fix it. Again, Zoom support has no desire to actually fix the issues, and instead keep telling me they don't believe me.

Go with anyone else. Zoom is a waste of money with completely inept support staff.

Don't worry...if you have an issue you can talk to an AI Chat Bot that will politely not help you one bit.   I gave up using any desktop app from zoom....Errors every time I schedule.   May just use the Windows conferencing and save money.
