Zoom iOS app badge icons not clearing

Is anyone else having constant trouble with the app badge icons in the Zoom app for iOS? Previously I was having weird issues where me sending another user a chat via my computer would generate a badge icon on my zoom app on my phone. That is still happening but now I have the added annoying problem of the badge icons not clearing. I have a badge of 1 even if I have read all my chats. I can make it go away by marking a message as unread and then reading it but as soon as I get another message, the badge is back and doesn’t go away. Anyone else having this issue? I think it started around the time I upgraded to iOS 18.

Speaking of iOS 18, why in the world hasn’t Zoom updated their app icon to support dark mode like every other app maker has? Really makes it seem like the devs don’t know what they are doing.

I don't have any advice to add but am having the same problem. Mine started after doing the IOS upgrade as well. I'm still hoping for an update to fix it.

I don't have a fix as I am having the same issue. It happened with a previous version, went away with an update, but is back again after recent IOS update. I reported an issue through the app. hoping for a fix soon.

Yes, fully closing and reopening the app resolves it for me as well until i receive a new message (or sometimes even send one from my pc which also triggers an unread badge on my phone.) It's really crazy an app this day and age is having trouble with unread badges when AOL Instant Messenger had it figured out in 1997.

What worked for you? Do you mean just clearing the notification once or for good? We all know how to clear them but they keep coming back after subsequent messages.

Hi everyone! Thank you for your patience on this issue. Can you please try upgrading to the latest version in the Apple app store and try again?

Let me know if that does it! Thank you!

I am on the latest version (6.3.1 (20932)) and it still seems to be happening for me. Perhaps even more now. It is happening with every message I receive.

Problem is still happening on the latest update (6.3.5 (21266)) as well. Just about every message causes a stuck badge. It’s crazy this has been happening for so long.

This is still happening as of 2/4/25.  Closing app works until you get a new call or message

Just wanted to let you know that it’s still occurring.  And it’s quite random, too.  One unread; two unread; etc.

My fellow team members also experience this on their iOS devices.

Thanks!
