Zoom deleted the file straight from my computer

I use Zoom on my laptop. During a meeting I put it to record on my own computer. After a few days, I clicked wrongly and within the Zoom program installed on my computer I clicked delete recording.
Has anyone gone through this and managed to recover?
It's like Zoom deleted the file straight from my computer and didn't take it to the trash. I tried to recover the file and so far it didn't work.
Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks

Seems no one wants to answer these questions.  Zoom appears to permanently delete everything you delete and whatever it didn't put in it's folders when it updates.  All xtra files need to be in a folder outside of Zoom's reach.
