Zoom base profile with Teams

If Zoom is the base profile and Teams is also available, is it possible for there to be a functionality issue with Teams that does not show up in Zoom as well?

 

Example - if the mics in a Teams meeting are not picking up signal, is there any reason they would work in Zoom instead, or is the functionality of Teams dependent on Zoom's ability to do all of its functions properly?

 

Trying to figure out if I need to keep testing Teams meetings as well when I'm testing a room, or if I can just test Zoom, and if there was any issue, it would show up in Zoom.
