Zoom automatically adds me as an alternative host?

Over the last 12 hours, I have received emails from two different colleagues, inviting me to their Zoom meeting as an alternative host.

They have since informed me that on setting up the meeting, a lot of other staff members automatically popped up as alternative hosts.

Has anyone experienced this before? I understand how to manually add/remove alternative host emails from a meeting, but I don't understand why it is auto populating seemingly random colleague emails in, on set up of the meeting.

Thank you!

It may be due to saved settings, scheduling privileges, or a persistent issue with browser extensions. To resolve this, first, check the meeting scheduling options and manually remove any unintended alternative hosts before saving the meeting. If you or your colleagues have granted scheduling privileges to each other, review and adjust these settings in your Zoom account to ensure only the intended users have access. Additionally, if you use the Zoom for Google Calendar extension or any other scheduling tool, make sure to update it and clear any saved entries that may be causing the issue.
