Zoom Workplace. Calendar/Events is stuck in "Loading your sidebar" in Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

Hi,

I have just installed my laptop with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (with Cinnamon desktop) and when I start the zoom app (6.3.6 version) the all sections in the header are stuck. It's not able to access to the chats either. Only the settings menu is able to access. The Calendar/Events is showing the message "Loading your sidebar".

I login using SSO without problems. It works fine with Ubuntu 22.04 but not in Ubuntu 24.04. This seems not to be the problem.

I did remove my office365 account in my profile in the zoom website, but the issue is still happening.

I have had to downgrade the zoom version to 6.2.3 (2056) and I'm able to access to the chats and calls sections at least, but the main issue is not solved. I'm still not able to access to the calendar/events, mail, whiteboards,... I always get the message "Loading whiteboards", "Loading Apps", "Loading your Mail",.....

Could someone help me, please?. It seems to be something related to the integration between Ubuntu 24.04 and Zoom.

Is this an already reported and known bug, and does it have a fix yet?

Many thanks

Same here. It is a 24.04 issue. We need a solution or directive.

Same issue here...

Stuck with "Loading your sidebar" and on the Docs page stuck with "Loading your docs"

Am new to Linux for desktop use, and am done with Windows.

If products don't work on Linux I'll simply be picking an alternative.

Ubuntu 20.04, zoom  6.4.3 (827).   Constant "Loading your sidebar",  Video effects (e.g., Blur or background)  freeze video.

KInda seems like Zoom is writing off Ubuntu at this point.

I was running into the same problem and found that finding and installing the drivers that matched my graphics card resolved the issue.

Go to Settings -> System -> About -> System Details. Look for your type of graphics card. Search online to see if that particular graphics card needs special drivers for Ubuntu.

It might not be the solution for everyone, but it is a starting point.
