Zoom Settings - screen sharing of participants

Hello, I'm new to Zoom and need some help. I want participants to be able to share their screen, but I'm not sure how to stop the sharing as the host. I want to maintain control over screen sharing and be able to end it when needed.

I’d really appreciate it if someone could help.

Hi @puj, welcome to Zoom Community! As the host, you have full control and can stop any participant's screen share instantly.

During the meeting:

  1. Click the little up arrow (^) next to the green "Share Screen" button in your meeting controls.
  2. Select Advanced Sharing Options...
  3. Under the section "Who can share?", select "All Participants".
  4. (Optional but recommended) Under "Who can start sharing when someone else is sharing?", select "Only Host". This ensures a participant can't interrupt the current presenter.

When a participant is actively sharing their screen, you, as the host, will see a toolbar at the top of your screen. To stop their sharing:

  1. Look for the "View Options" drop-down menu at the very top center of your screen (where the name of the person sharing is displayed).

  2. Click "View Options".

  3. In the menu that appears, select "Stop Participant's Sharing".

The participant's screen will immediately disappear, and the meeting view will return to the gallery or speaker view, giving you back control.

Thank you, I saw the answer - but came too late for my session. I was able to get help elsewhere.👍
