Zoom Recording question

Hello,

We are experiencing an issue where sometimes when we record a Zoom call, the recording ends up just being 1 person's screen, and not side by side, or Active Speaker. It's not Active Speaker, because it doesn't switch back and forth. It just stays on 1 person the whole time, and we can just hear the other person speaking.

When it works correctly, the recording ends up being in Gallery view, where we can see both people's screens in the recording, side by side. That's what we want every time, but sometimes, and I don't know why, the recording ends up being just 1 person, usually the guest, and that's all you can see for the whole recording.

Any reason why? Is it a setting? Or am I missing something?

Thanks!
Barry Westman

    @Bkwestman

    You may manage the recording settings on your profile via web browser >> Profile>Settings>Recording.

    Also - different recording layouts can be seen here >> Recording layouts

    But what we are experiencing doesn't match any of the "recording layouts" - it's not Active viewer, it's not Gallery, and it's not Shared screen. It's just on one person the whole time, never changes.

    You might want to play around on the recording settings on your account. There are checkbox there that you can enable and see how that affects your recording.
