Zoom Pro Bug – Unclickable icons during meetings

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing a recurring issue with Zoom (Pro version): during meetings, the interface becomes unresponsive.
I can’t click on any of the icons (mic, camera, participants, share screen, etc.), and I’m also unable to leave the meeting normally.

I’m forced to end the task via Windows Task Manager to close Zoom.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Restarted my computer

  • Updated Zoom to the latest version

  • Fully uninstalled and reinstalled Zoom

  • Closed all background applications

Nothing has fixed the issue so far.
Has anyone faced the same problem or found a solution?

Thanks in advance!
François

You have not stated what device and OS you are using. Some devices are not designed to accommodate Zoom and will lockup. Also, using a poor wifi connection will lockup the stream.

Hi,

I’m running Zoom Pro on a high-performance desktop PC (Windows 11), built for video editing – so power and specs aren’t an issue.

I also have a stable, high-speed fiber connection.

That said, I’m facing a frustrating issue:

As soon as a meeting starts, the Zoom interface becomes completely unresponsive.

I can’t click on anything – mic, camera, share screen, participants – nothing works.

The only way to exit is by forcing Zoom to close via Task Manager.

Here’s what I’ve already tried:

Restarted the PC

Fully uninstalled and reinstalled Zoom

Confirmed I’m running the latest version

Closed all background apps

This doesn’t happen with Google Meet or any other video app – just Zoom.

It happens every single time, right from the start of the meeting.

Best,

François
