When I open my Zoom app on my MacBook Pro Camera it shows me with a white background. I have tried everything to get this to go away it will not. If I change to desk view it shows what is behind me. I have checked camera settings. I have went on my iPad and iPhone all of it works but the MacBook Pro Camera view which gives the weird white background. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Go to Finder > Photo Booth. Does the preview look OK?

I've actually got a friend with exactly this issue. On Photo Booth everything looks fine. They've tried uninstalling Zoom and then reinstalling. When they change the virual background filter, whatever image they select appears ok, but as soon as they select None, they get a white screen. Any ideas?

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @NevilleLongB! If you're using macOS, it's possible that the background was uploaded directly to your computer instead of through Zoom. Once the meeting starts, a green video icon will appear in the top-right corner of your Mac's menu bar. Click the icon and uncheck 'Background' to remove the virtual background.
