Zoom 5.12.2 Conflict with MAC OS Monterey 12.6??

There is a conflict between Zoom 5.12.2 and Mac OS Monterey 12.6 since I installed both in the last week

When I click to mute myself as the host in a meeting I only hear every ~5th word of anyone else speaking-the rest of the time I hear nothing

Everyone can hear me fine when I unmute and I can hear everyone when I am unmuted

I then updated zoom to the latest version 5.12.2 and it is still happening

Are you aware of this and what are you doing to fix the problem

I have a new November, 2021 MacBook Pro with 16 GB of RAM & have WiFi speed of 700 mps
