I am working on a laptop elite book HP - HD/HP CAMERA built into laptop on windows 11. I have never had a problem with my camera before however I had to move to ZOOM workplace. I had an important workshop and the camera did not work!! no matter what I tried.... Then second workshop I thought I resolved the issue the camera worked at the start but half way through stopped working.......

Can anyone suggest a solution?

Hi,
Could you check if any other applications might be using the camera. Sometimes programs can hog the camera without you realizing it.

If that doesn’t work, ensure your security software (like antivirus) isn’t blocking Zoom from accessing the camera. You can adjust settings in the security software to allow access.

Another thing to try is reinstalling Zoom or doing a fresh install after uninstalling it completely. Sometimes this resolves weird behavior with apps

I am having the same problem on an HP laptop since Zoom Workplace. I have unintalled and reinstalled the app. I see my image and it immediatle freezes. The entire app then freezes. I cannot access Video under setting.

Both my cameras stopped working with Zoom (Windows 11). Regardless of which of them (the integrated or the external USB one) I enable (I obviously only have one enabled at a time), I get this message: "failed to start the video camera please select another video camera in settings". I've tried everything: restarting, reinstalling, signing up, signing in, going to camera privacy settings... Nothing works. In other apps the camera works just fine, the problem is exclusive to Zoom.
