ZOOM WILL NOT TURN ON CAMERA- PC

My video will not turn on for my meetings.  Audio is fine.  All testing has the hardware working fine.  I have rebooted several time, signe in and out several times, and checked the hardware several times.

I have worked to fix this problem personally and with my IT support.  We decided to  reinstall the software- but the software will not allow me to delete it.  It rolls like it is deleting to a certain point then freezes- about 95%.  Any suggestions or helpis appreciated.

Hi @BAM4 - welcome to the Zoom Community.

A few things I can recommend if your camera can't be enabled on your Zoom Meetings:

1. Ensure the Zoom Desktop App is up to date. (On the Zoom Desktop App, click on your profile picture, and click on "Check for Updates". Once clicked, the system will check if there's a newer app version, just follow the installation prompt to complete the update, else the app will provide information if you're already on an updated version)

2. Once you're on a Zoom Meeting, click the small up arrow (^) next to the "Video" button. This will show you a list of available cameras. Make sure the correct camera (your built-in webcam, external webcam, etc.) is selected. Sometimes, if you have multiple cameras or virtual camera software, Zoom might default to the wrong one.

3. Check your operating system's camera permission. Both Windows and macOS have strong privacy settings that can prevent applications from accessing your camera. You can ask for assistance from your IT support team to check this for you.

4. To help isolate the issue, try to test your camera on using another app. If it's an external camera, try it on another device if possible.

5. Uninstall and reinstall the Zoom Desktop App. If you're having issues uninstalling the Zoom Software, kindly refer to this support article that provides a detailed instruction how to uninstall the Zoom app. It also provides additional info how to "Run CleanZoom to remove Zoom completely".

Should all these steps fail or would still won't let you enable your camera on a Zoom Meeting, you can ask any of your Zoom Admins to open a tech support case for you via this link so one of our tech support engineers can further check and assist.

Thank you.

Hello,

I have the same problem when I launch meetings from my browser.  I am not downloading an app when I can use my browser instead.
