YouTube webinar livestreaming and subtitles/closed captions

Greetings everybody.

We run our lecture series through Zoom, restreaming to YouTube to improve discoverability and so that the recording is easily available for people to re-watch. We would like people in both Zoom and YouTube to have the option to enable or disable closed captions according to preference. However, the video that appears on YouTube currently has Zoom closed captions baked into it. We have so far been unable to find a Zoom setting that relates to this. Whether closed captions appear on the host's screen does not appear to affect whether captions appear in the YouTube video. Is there any way of preventing these captions appearing in YouTube without disabling them entirely in Zoom?

Many thanks.

I have a similar question. I would like to know if it is possible, when livestreaming webinars/events to YouTube or other RTMP source, to have the closed captions created within Zoom to be available via the "CC" button in the YouTube player (instead of being baked into the video) for better accessibility and viewing experience. Is this possible?
