'You are muted while recording' Pop Up is annoying and in the way.

Please add an option to disable the 'You are muted while recording' notification when a user is intentionally recording with their microphone muted. As a frequent Zoom recorder, this repetitive alert is unnecessary and disruptive, especially when I am aware of my mute status and choose to record without audio.

Consider using a different workflow. Connect a dummy audio source (such as OBS Studio) to the input and leave the Zoom audio button unmuted. Then there will be no notification pop-up.

I appreciate the workflow work around but my company doesn't support third party apps logged into our meetings. I wish this could be resolved by Zoom. I mentioned it to several people and they both agree the pop up window is annoying. I could see it being noted on the actual Zoom  but to have another window pop up and cover your workspace is not helpful. Especially for something so obvious.

As an audio and broadcast engineer I can tell you that computer audio can be very complicated. OBS Studio does not login to the meeting. It is equivalent to using an audio interface. And using an audio interface will also prevent the pop-up or use a headset with its own mute button. You can also mute the mic at the OS level.

Thank you for your suggestion. However, I don't want to have to download yet another program to my PC to fix this. It would be more simple if an option to disable this message was available.

I agree. That window is completely useless when I am hosting a meeting. I think I know if I am muted or not. How else can I continue the meeting? If I wanted to record without Audio I would simply just mute the meeting and speak on the phone. Or that should be a setting in the audio section or recording section.

Completely agree. I have to frequently record workflows without audio and without fail, every time, I start the recording, share the screen and start typing, then BAM, the focus has shifted to the popup telling me that I’m recording without audio and the warning tone is going dingdingdingding with every keystroke. It drives me mental and I have to deal with it several times a day. Please just give us an option to disable this alert!!!!!

Typical example of a feature Zoom did not test. It is so annoying to have this message poping up constantly while waitign for a customer to join a zoom session:

Pop up says:

"you are muted.

No audio will be recorded.

[Record without Audio] [ Unmute myself]"

Yes of course I am muted, no I do not want to unmute, and no I do not want to record without audio!! I want to record everything once the customer join. If I am muted, record the call still so I can hear the customer on the recording? Who program this crap????

Agreed - this is terribly annoying while I wait for people to join a call I want to be muted.

I totally agree with v1ncen7. The issue with this popup is that it offers only two options, neither of which reflects the actual use case.

What I want is "Ignore my muted microphone and continue recording with audio (although no audio input now)".
