We have a video conference room for Webex. But we were told that we could join a Zoom meeting if the person creating the meeting could give us a sip number. How would they find that number to allow us to join?

Hello,
If the Zoom account has Sip enabled by the admin then when the host shares the meeting details the invitation will include the SIP number. They can then share it with you.
example;
Join by SIP
***********
I always recommend a test meeting in advance to make sure things are working as expected from the actual systems / rooms being used.
