Video not recording what is on screen

When I am recording interviews, on my screen I see both people, side by side. (I am hidden in the background). 

However, when I record on Zoom, the people are in speaker view!

If you are recording to the cloud, your view of the meeting and the view you've set to record can be very different. If you want to record exactly what you see on your end, you need to use a local recording. 

If you want to record to the cloud, you should review your cloud recording settings so that you can be aware of the recording layout(s) you have set.

I record interviews locally. I cut my mic and cam. I ask my interviewees to wait for 3 seconds before answering the question. Still I miss the images of the first words of the interviewees. Is there a way to record only the cam of the interviewee? Or how do I get all the images of everything they say.
