Hi,
I am using Zoom on a M1 Pro Macbook. As a camera I have a Sony A6400 connected to an Elgato 4KX Capture Card. Everything worked fine, until the last zoom update.
Since then the camera is squished in zoom and in zoom only. The proportions are totally off and therefore my video pretty much useless in Zoom.
Any advice on how to fix this?
Best regards,
Ben

You have a great deal of video complexity involved in this system. Try going to Zoom settings > video and effects > camera and switch on maintain original ratio. If that does not resolve the issue be sure that image stabilization is off in the camera and that the camera is configured for a 16:9 aspect ratio. Also check that the capture card is capturing at 1080P.
If this works please click accept as a solution.

its not that complex. just 2 devices instead of one to up quality. the capture card is capturing 1080p in 16:9 ratio. and capture works in every other app just fine and was working fine in zoom in the past as well.
maintaining original ration just made the picture smaller and added black bars left and right to the distorted picture.
in the meantime the client got another update and now there is a button called "HD-Video". If I hit that one the ratio is back to normal. So looks like zoom alrdy was aware and fixed the bug.
