I can't see the "Record" button. I still have "Record on Computer" enabled in Settings.
What could be the problem?
Device: MacBook Pro (MacOS 15.6.1 (24G90))
App: Zoom Workplace app version: 6.5.12 (63499)
Zoom Version: Free

I pasted your post into Zoom’s ZVA AI agent, and this was the response:
If you’re not seeing the “Record” button in your Zoom meetings, even though “Record on this Computer” is enabled in your settings, here are some possible reasons and solutions:
Free (Basic) Account Limitation:
On a free Zoom account, local recording is available, but only for the meeting host. If you are not the host of the meeting, you won’t see the “Record” button unless the host grants you permission to record.
Host Controls:
If you are a participant, the host must give you permission to record. The host can do this by clicking “Participants,” hovering over your name, clicking “More,” and selecting “Allow Record.”
Zoom App Version:
You’re using Zoom Workplace app version 6.5.12, which is up to date. However, if you’re using the web client or a browser, the recording option may not be available.
Device Permissions:
Make sure Zoom has permission to access your computer’s storage. On Mac, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Files and Folders, and ensure Zoom is allowed to access your files.
Account or Group Settings:
If you’re part of an organization, the admin may have disabled recording at the account or group level.
What you can try:

If you don’t see the Record button on Zoom, check these key points:
Host permission – Only the host (or someone the host allows) can record. Ask the host to enable “Allow participants to record.”
Account settings – Go to the Zoom web portal → Settings → Recording → make sure “Local recording” is turned ON.
Plan type – Free users can record locally (desktop only). Cloud recording needs a paid plan.
Device – Local recording isn’t available on mobile (Android/iOS). Use cloud recording instead.
Zoom version – Update your Zoom app; on desktop, the Record option may also appear under “More (⋯)”.
If you’re still missing the option, sign out/in and check with your account admin — recording might be disabled for your organization.
