Trying to find out what the requirement are for a webcam to use with desktop client

I purchased a midrange logitech webcab (C615) but when I tried the zoom client ( Version: 5.7.6 (1320) ) on my Mac did not register it.  When I look on the zoom requirement page it lists just 3 logitech webcams (all high end -- starting with the c930e).   Logitech webpages say nothing explicit about which of their webcams work with zoom.

I note that one thing that separated the more expensive webcams is that they support H.624, is this necessary  work with zoom?

It has occurred to me that there may be an issue with the webcam...

very confused!

I am not a Mac person and do not know if they treat USB cameras the same as internals but, you may have to grant Zoom permission to access the camera in your Mac's settings. Here is an article explaining the process https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/control-access-to-the-camera-mchlf6d108da/mac.
