Static received in headphones when interviewing a guest and they speak

Ever since I acquired a new computer 4 months ago, with every new guest I've interviewed on ZOOM for my podcast, whenever they speak, my headphones are filled with static. I've tried everything. Has anyone experienced static when interviewing a guest and overcame it?
